Working Principle & Key Design Features

The operating principle of the thread type single ball air valve is elegantly simple yet highly reliable:

• During system filling: As water enters the pipeline, air is pushed toward the high points where the valve is installed. The air enters the valve body through the inlet, displacing water and allowing the float to drop. Air is then released to atmosphere through the排气嘴 (air vent).

• During normal operation: Once the pipeline is fully filled, water enters the valve body. The buoyancy of the stainless steel float lifts it upward, pressing it against the rubber sealing ring to seal the排气嘴. This achieves automatic self-sealing.

• During air accumulation: When small amounts of air gather in the valve body during normal operation, the water level drops and the float descends, opening the排气嘴 to release the accumulated air. The float then returns to its sealing position, repeating this cycle automatically.

• During negative pressure / vacuum events: When the pump stops or the system experiences negative pressure, the float drops immediately, allowing air to enter the pipeline and preventing vacuum collapse that could damage the pipe.
